Quotes of the Day for 9 May 2010 – Mother's Day

Today is the day of busy signals, the heaviest telephone call volume of the year, at least in the US. Also the biggest day of the year for greeting cards. Mother's Day is celebrated in 150 countries around the world, 71 of them observe it on the second Sunday in May. A mother's gifts surround us throughout life, so it is apt to dedicate one day to remembering she who had the most influence over who and what we are today. Thanks, Mom, you've had to put up with a lot!
