Erich Weiss was born at Budapest, Hungary on this day in 1874. Erich Who? Well, he didn't use that name past his youth, he created the identity Harry Houdini and became the greatest escape artist of all time. Most of us long for escape from something, great crowds thrilled to watch Houdini.
