Quotes of the Day for 8 March 2007 – Women

Today is International Women's Day, celebrated in many countries since the end of the first world war. It was first scheduled for the last Sunday in February in Russia, but Russia was still on the Julian calendar. In 1917 when other countries started to join in, the date was 8 March in most of the world, and that's the day that has been observed ever since. It became a UN observation when the UN was chartered in 1945. Here are a few admiring comments about Women from men who've loved them.
