Quotes of the Day for 31 July 2005 – Relax
Things have been wound a little tight around here lately, and I need a break. We have an errand to do on the Oregon coast, and we're going to take four days to do it, with plenty of time along the way to shoot the scenery. I still have to pack some clothes, but the cameras are already in the car. If all goes according to plan, we'll be home on Wednesday night, with the next issue of Quotes of the Day coming on Thursday the 7th.

Our minds need relaxation and give way
Unless we mix with work a little play.
- Jean Baptiste Molière, 1622 - 1673
The time to relax is when you don't have time for it.
- Sydney J. Harris, 1917 - 1986
Using a camera appeases the anxiety which the work-driven feel about not working when they are on vacation and supposed to be having fun. They have something to do that is like a friendly imitation of work: they can take pictures.
