Quotes of the Day for 19 October 2004 – Hands

The human hand is an amazing thing: twenty-seven bones connected by sinews, powered by a little muscle, and covered with very sensitive skin. It holds tools, soothes a child, strikes a foe, and separates us from the animals. I mention this today because it was on this day in 1963 that the Beatles went into EMI Studios in London and recorded "I Want to Hold Your Hand".
