Quotes of the Day for 23 September 2004 – Fight

It was on this day in 1779 that John Paul Jones replied "I have not yet begun to fight!" in response to a surrender demand from Captain Richard Pearson of the British warship Serapis. Jones' Bonhomme Richard had been badly damaged in the first broadside exchange, and was already sinking at the time, but the plucky American prevailed. I'm not much of a fighter, but I have some suitable quotes.
