Quotes of the Day for 20 February 2004 – Speed

Enzo Ferrari, sports car designer and manufacturer, was born at Modena, Italy on this day in 1898, although some sources say it was on the 18th. Bobby (Robert William) Unser, the race car driver, was born at Albuquerque, New Mexico on this day in 1934. And on this day in 1962, John Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth, traveling some 17,000 miles per hour in Friendship 7. Today's theme has to be Speed.

I'm also proud to announce that yesterday our subscription list hit a total of 7,000. Thanks to all of you who encouraged friends and family to join up.
