Quotes of the Day for 24 October 2003 – Tiny

Anton van Leeuwenhoek was born on this day in 1632. He was not the inventor of the microscope as is often suggested, but he learned to make microscopes of greater power and clarity than anyone before him, and he spent most of his life drawing the most amazing images of tiny things that had never before been seen by humans. To mark this event, today's quotes relate to the small, the tiny, the infinitesimal.
