Quotes of the Day for 20 September 2003 – Conquest
Alexandros III Philippou Makedonon was born to King Philip and Olympia of Macedonia on this day in the year 356 BC. His parents wanted the best for their son, they went so far as to hire Aristotle as his private tutor. Alexander ruled Macedonia when his father was away as early as age 16, was crowned king at 20. In the twelve years and eight months of his reign, he brutally kept his hold over Greece and conquered Persia, Egypt, and part of India - basically the entire Middle East.
