John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born at Brookline, Massachusetts on this day in 1917. I think we probably all know more about the literate young president than I could fit in the introduction, so I won't try. I'm from the generation that will never forget what we were doing when the news came that the president had been shot. (I was counting out the milk cartons for each class in the halls of Jefferson Elementary School when the news came over the intercom.) For some of these, I can hear JFK's voice as I read over them.
