Quotes of the Day for 29 April 2003 – Dawn

As a night person, Dawn is not something I often see. It's certainly not something I intend to see. But a large project that wasn't going well last week led me to see it twice. That's why you haven't gotten an issue of Quotes for a few days, and that's why today's theme is Dawn. I hope I go another year without seeing it, although the quotes are lovely.

One may not reach the dawn save by path of night.
     - Kahlil Gibran, 1883 - 1931

Yes: I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.
     - Oscar Wilde, 1854 - 1900

Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark.
     - Rabindranath Tagore, 1861 - 1941

So dawn goes down to day
Nothing gold can stay.
     - Robert Frost, 1874 - 1963
