I hear the hardware stores have been stripped of duct tape and polyethylene sheeting. Even though I was never a Boy Scout, I understand the need to "Be Prepared." Preparation is important in many ventures, but it also takes time and resources away from other things, so it must be approached intelligently. Which means you should be stocking up on polyethylene if you are planning on painting, and buying extra duct tape only if your furnace needs a bandaid. Here, then, a few thoughts on Preparation.
