Quotes of the Day for 30 January 2003 – Franklin Roosevelt
Franklin Delano Roosevelt war born at Hyde Park, New York on this day in 1882. His four terms as US president were unprecedented, and since rendered impossible by law. He was the first president handicapped by physical disability, television and our adulation of the physically fit probably mean there will never be another president with a wheelchair. He is both revered and reviled, but I have many of his quotes and find quite a few of them compelling.
