Quotes of the Day for 14 June 2002 – Flag Day

The design of the US flag was decided on this day in 1777. That was the original, with a circle of 13 white stars that Betsy Ross may or may not have sewn on a field of blue. I have mixed feelings about the flag. It's a great symbol for a great country, but it may have been the refuge of patriotic scoundrels as often as it has been an inspiration. Here are some quote on The Flag.
