Quotes of the Day for 11 February 2001 – Light

Thomas Alva Edison was born on this day in 1847 at Milan, Ohio. Through hard work and tenacity (and endless self-promotion) he became the most prolific and successful inventor of his era.      - Alan Alda

A smile is the light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside.
     - Denis Waitley

As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being.
     - Carl Gustav Jung
