Quotes of the Day for 13 January 2001 – Consistency

The quotes:

Consistency requires you to be as ignorant today as you were a year ago.
     - Bernard Berenson

Absurdity: A statement or belief manifestly inconsistent with one's Own opinion.
     - Ambrose Bierce

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.
     - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Consistency is contrary to nature, contrary to life. The only completely consistent people are dead.
     - Aldous Huxley
