Quotes of the Day for 13 September 2000 – Faith

The quotes:

When young we are faithful to individuals, when older we grow more loyal to situations and to types.
     - Cyril Connolly

Courage is sometimes frail as hope is frail: a fragile shoot between two stones that grows brave toward the sun though warmth and brightness fail, striving and faith the only strength it knows.
     - Frances Rodman

Doubt is a pain too lonely to know that faith is his twin brother.
     - Khalil Gibran

When you get to the end of all the light you know and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: either you will be given something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly.
     - Edward Teller
