Quotes of the Day for 12 November 2004 – Drum Month
November is International Drum Month. I don't use a lot of these odd observances as themes for two reasons. First, nobody cares if it's National Bouillon Week (it isn't), and second, I can't find quotes to fit most of them. Quotes on drums I've got.

Natives who beat drums to drive off evil spirits are objects of scorn to smart Americans who blow horns to break up traffic jams.
- Mary Ellen Kelly
