If television encouraged us to work as much as it encourages us to do everything else, we could better afford to buy more of everything it advertises. Television: A medium. So called because it is neither rare nor well done. I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set I go into the other room and read a book. All television is educational television. The question is: what is it teaching? Why should people go out and pay money to see bad films when they can stay at home and see bad television for nothing?
