Issues Index | Next => It was on this day in 1930 that Clarence Birdseye put the first frozen vegetables on sale at Springfield, Massachusetts. Some will argue that they aren't as good as fresh, but I'm glad for them. I certainly put more vegetables on the table than I would if I were limited to seasonal vegetables prepared from scratch.
