Your Quotes for 13 January 2006 - Luck

I do believe in luck, but I'm not superstitious. I'm occasionally cautious, I don't walk under ladders as a general rule, but that's from an understanding of ladders rather than concern for my luck. I'm definitely lazy enough to jump on a convenient bandwagon, so at least once a year I drag out the Luck quotes on Friday the Thirteenth.

I've found that luck is quite predictable. If you want more luck, take more chances. Be more active. Show up more often.
     - Brian Tracy

One half of life is luck; the other half is discipline - and that's the important half, for without discipline you wouldn't know what to do with your luck.
     - Carl Zuckmayer, 1896 - 1977

Luck is not chance, it's toil; fortune's expensive smile is earned.
     - Emily Dickinson, 1830 - 1886

A pound of pluck is worth a ton of luck.
     - James A. Garfield, 1831 - 1881

Of course I don't believe in it. [pointing to horseshoe on his office wall] But I understand that it brings you luck whether you believe in it or not.
     - Niels Bohr, 1885 - 1962

Life is not so bad if you have plenty of luck, a good physique, and not too much imagination.
     - Christopher Isherwood, 1904 - 1986
