Everyday for the last week or so, and probably for the next couple as well, marks the anniversary of the premiere episode of some television show. Jackie Gleason made his debut on this day in 1952, for example. (Full disclosure: I don't actually watch television, although I do occasionally watch old TV shows, mostly M*A*S*H.
