After getting a law degree, he led an unsuccessful revolt in 1953, spent a couple of years in jail, and tried it again in 1956. Every revolution evaporates and leaves behind only the slime of a new bureaucracy. And yet a little tumult, now and then, is an agreeable quickener of sensation; such as a revolution, a battle, or an adventure of any lively description. The way of even the most jusitifiable revolution is prepared by personal impulses disguised into creeds. The first duty of a revolutionary is to get away with it.
