Issues Index | Next => It was on this day in 1974 that US President Richard M. Nixon resigned from that office, the only person ever to do so. Somewhere, in one of those boxes of important memorabilia I seem to only look in ever five or ten years, I have a copy of the Seattle PI from that date, the headline must have been three inches tall. At the time I thought it was a good thing. I still do, of course, but now I find myself wondering: Just who does the president give his resignation to?
