Your Quotes for 8 August 2005 - Andy Warhol

Andrew Warhola was born at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on this day in 1928. He trained in commercial art at the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie-Mellon University) and started his career as a magazine illustrator at Manhattan. As he moved into fine art he established The Factory which served both as the production center for his arts and prints but a gathering place for various music and fashion stars. Warhol focused on celebrities and cultural icons, and forced us to look at the Campbell soup can in a way that no one else ever could.

Buying is much more American than thinking and I'm as American as they come.

I am a deeply superficial person.
