Your Quotes for 21 July 2005 - Robin Williams

Robin McLaurim Williams was born at Chicago on this day in 1951. When his father, a Ford Motor Company executive retired, the family moved to the San Francisco area. Robin dropped out of Claremont College, where he was majoring in political science, to study drama at New York City's Julliard School. His intelligence and incredible energy have brought him success in straight stand-up comedy and a wide range of film roles, including Peter Pan in Hook, Adrian Cronauer in Good Morning, Vietnam, and the voice of the genie in Aladdin. Unlike most actors, it's a good bet that the words we hear were not in the script, at least in his comic roles.

There are no rules. Just follow your heart.

Cocaine is God's way of saying you're making too much money.

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

What's right is what's left if you do everything else wrong.

Comedy is acting out optimism.

On stage you're free. You can say and do things that if you said and did any place else, you'd be arrested.
