A world without tomatoes is like a string quartet without violins. It's difficult to think anything but pleasant thoughts while eating a homegrown tomato. When I eat a tomato I look at it the way anyone else would. But when I paint a tomato, then I see it differently. Sonny, true love is the greatest thing in the world - except for a nice MLT - mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is lean and the tomato is ripe.
