Quotes of the Day for 14 July 2004 - Prison

On this day in 1789 there were only seven prisoners held in the Bastille, but the fortress prison had come to represent all the real and imagined tyranny of the Bourbon monarchy. It's Bastille Day; if you're in prison it could be a good day to break out, if you're not it's a good day for fireworks.

     - Harry S Truman, 1884 - 1972
