Quotes of the Day for 2 March 2004 - Flight

I had a reader request quotes on flying, which was ratified by events from this day in history. The first non-stop airplane flight around the world was on this day in 1949. The first test flight of the Concorde SST was on this day in 1969. And the first commercial flight of the 747 was on this day in 1970, by American Airlines. Personally, I love flying, although I can't abide the current airport experience.
