Quotes of the Day for 26 August 2003 - Blood

As I've been battling to catch up with the exuberant growth in my back yard, I've used both grass and trees as themes. I've also been dealing with one of the most aggressive members of the plant world, the Himalayan blackberry. I don't have any quotes on blackberries, but looking at my arms at the end of a session with the shears and seeing all the blood where I've been raked by the thorns leads me to today's theme.
