When I think of Kelly, I think of "Singing in the Rain," an amazing demonstration of talent. Today's theme is in honor of this joyful, talented dancer.
Dance is a little insanity that does us all a lot of good. While I dance I cannot judge, I cannot hate, I cannot separate myself from life. I can only be joyful and whole. That is why I dance. Not to go back is somewhat to advance, When we teach a child to draw, we teach him how to see. When we teach a child to play a musical instrument, we teach her how to listen. When we teach a child to dance, we teach him how to move through life with grace. When we tach a child to read and write, we teach her how to think. When we nurture imaginatioon, we create a better world, one child at a time. The truest expression of a people is in its dances and its music. Bodies never lie. I wish life were more like a musical, so when I burst into song at the bus stop, people would stop staring at me. It might also make them more inclined to learn the chorus and the dance numbers.
