Quotes of the Day for 20 June 2003 - Bubbles

I looked over today's birthdays and history, and nothing moved me. I looked back at the quotes for this day for the last three years, and see that I couldn't find any historical themes then, either. So I just let a word bubble up from nowhere and searched on it. Lo and behold, I had exactly six quotes on Bubbles.

Life is mostly froth and bubble,
Two things stand like stone,
Kindness in another's trouble,
Courage in your own.
     - Adam Lindsay Gordon

Like bubbles on the sea of matter borne, They rise, they break, and to that sea return.
     - Alexander Pope, 1688 - 1744

Dig within. Within is the wellspring of Good; and it is always ready to bubble up, if you just dig.
     - Marcus Aurelius, 121 - 180

If you go into what I call a bubble boom, every bubble bursts.
     - Margaret Thatcher

I, for one, get rather annoyed when I settle into a nice bubble bath with some Belgian chocolate and a mystery at my side only to discover that all of the characters in the latter are still alive at the end.
     - Miriam Nadel

No bubble is so iridescent or floats longer than that blown by the successful teacher.
     - William Osler, 1848 - 1919
